And the prize is-

A $25 online gift code!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

I had fun making this! I saw the video, and I decided to make one like the one in the video, but with a couple of different twists. What I did different was to use die cut snow at the bottom of the scene panel, and to color the background with a Copic marker of light blue to defuse all that white. And of course, use the Cricut to cut the scalloped card base and circle!

Here are the materials I used-
  1. Cricut: card base (CTMH Art Philosophy, cut at 5 1/2"), circle (Cricut Design Space shape-4 3/4").
  2. Stamps: trees, bow, sentiment, snow (Lawn Fawn Let it Snow set). Inks used: sage, bamboo green (Versacolor), peeled paint, candied apple (Distress Oxide Inks, Ranger). Sky was colored in with B0000 Copic marker. Versamark ink, white embossing powder for snowflakes.
  3. Die: stitched scene builders (Frantic Stamper).
  4. Paper: white cardstock (Neenah Solar White), patterned kraft (My Minds Eye).
Be sure to enter for a chance at that great gift certificate!

Getting ready for Valentines day

Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day? Here's a card with a super cute image from our sponsor at Die Cut Diva's-

Remember, our theme this month is "something new", which can be a technique or product.

Here is my project-

This card had been in my reject pile for quite a while-I had die cut the pop-up heart paper upside down! So I added the sentiment to the inside on top, which gives me quite a bit of space for a text box. After salvaging the interior, the rest was easy. Using my new Tonic Studios nesting heart dies, I die cut the image and mounted it with white foam. Making the foil accents was also easy-I took my Sakura Mini glue pen and put glue on the embossed portions I wanted and let it dry thoroughly. Put the gold Deco foil on top, rubbed, and had great gold hearts! I then added the white sequins with gold Stickles in the center for a little more interest. Here is a complete list of the materials I used for the card-
  1. Dies: heart (Tonic Studio), pop up on inside, labels (Elizabeth Craft Designs-Lucys Labels).
  2. Image: Heart Bunny (Sasayaki Glitter), colored with Copics.
  3. Paper: pink, red cardstock (Michael's), heart paper (Studio Calico).
  4. Embossing folder: candy hearts (Cuttlebug).
  5. Other: white sequins, Sakura mini glue pen, gold deco foil, gold Stickles.

Have a wonderful day!

Here is my project-

My "new" portion of the card is the woman with a drink (Pack Your Bags, Cricut Access). I consider the sentiment bubble new also, because this was the stamp and chipboard that came with the CTMH Artiste cartridge that I have NEVER before used! I'm definitely going to use those stamps and chipboard items more!

The paper I made the woman and speech bubble with is all out of my scrap stash. I used a dark grey from Michaels for the mat, and the patterned paper is unknown-but I'm finally starting to use my OLD papers.

Have a wonderful day today!

Birthday Bunny

It's January at Die Cut Diva's, and our challenge theme is Something New (use a new to you product or technique), & our wonderful sponsor is-

and the prize is 4 digital stamps!

Here is my project-

and the inside-

The "new" on this card is the fold. I hadn't tried this before, and I learned some things. One thing I learned is that this fold needs the extra room at the top to be able to fold it flat. And the second is that it really is easier to attach the red cardstock to the back of the card, as shown-

If you would like to see the tutorial, visit Dawn at DO Stamping! She has tons of tutorials and I wanted to try this when I saw it.

Here are the materials I used to make this card-
Image: Heart Bunny (Sasayaki Glitter), colored with Copics.
Stamps: Birthdays Wish (Stampendous), Versafine Black Onyx ink.
Dies: stitched rounded rectangle (My Favorite Things), banner (Cuttlebug-Labels & Such), sprayed with Copic Marker.
Paper: grey, aqua, red (Michaels).
Embossing Folder: Decorative Tile Set (Cuttlebug).

Have a wonderful day!
