Tealight Card

Hello!

Dies R Us is presenting the winner with a $10 gift voucher to our winner this month!

Only six more days until Christmas, and here is a tealight card I made-

and here is what it looks like with a darkened room and a battery operated tealight-

Here are the materials I used to make this card-
  1.  Dies: christmas tree (Hampton Arts, which also has garland stamps included in this set, but this one would work just as well), frame (Spellbinders Labels Nine), holly leaves (Spellbinders Holly Motif-but I'm going to buy this one!), sentiment (Tim Holtz Christmas Words, but there is a lot of different Christmas words with a lot of different manufacturers.)
  2. Paper: silver cardstock (Tim Holtz Kraft Metalllics), teal metallic (scrap bin), teal snow patterned (unknown).
  3. Embossing Folder: holly damask (Anna Griffin Cuttlebug), polka dots (Cuttlebug).
  4. Embellies: Snowflake rhinestones (Michaels).
Thank you for visiting, and have a Merry Christmas!

Season's Greetings

It's December at Die Cut Diva's, our challenge theme is "Winter", & our wonderful sponsor is-

The prize this month is a $10 gift voucher!

And here is my project:

Here is the material list for this card-
  1. Dies: holly square (Frantic Stamper), sentiment (Impression Obsession).
  2. Paper: Kraft, dark green, red, light green, white cardstock. Patterned paper (My Mind's Eye-Brown Paper Christmas).
I like to make masculine Christmas cards for my husbands friends. I just don't think they get all excited about foil, glitter, or shimmer cards!

Thanks for visiting!

Die Cut Diva's Winter Challenge

It's December at Die Cut Diva's, our challenge theme is "Winter", & our wonderful sponsor is-

And here is my project:

I was watching this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire and decided to try it, since I already had alcohol inks and Yupo. I had such fun I ran out of Yupo! Here are the materials I used for these cards-
  1. Dies: Joy and Seasons Greetings (Impression Obsession), ornament dies (Delicate Ornaments Thinlits-Stampin' Up, but these would work just as well), circles-backing ornaments (MFT stitched circles).
  2. Paper: gold, silver shimmer paper (Michaels), light teal cs, blue green cs, gold matte paper (stash).
  3. Ink: Turqoise, Patina, Mermaid, Pool, Stream, Gold, Silver (Ranger Alcohol Ink).
  4. Other: gold, silver glitter spray f(Krylon).
I ended up using too much alcohol, and color was rubbing off on me. I used the glitter spray lightly to seal the finished panels. I thought it added some more sparkle, which is always good on Christmas cards!

Thanks for visiting!
